How to Add Advanced Pricing to a Product in ModernCommerce

Add and verify a tier-based Advanced Pricing rule for an existing ModernCommerce course product.

What Advanced Pricing does

Advanced Pricing adds another pricing rule to an existing product. A Sale rule schedules promotional pricing for a date window. A Tier rule changes the amount for a defined quantity range. This tutorial creates a Tier rule.

Open the product

From Modern Commerce → Products, locate the product you want to update and open its editor. In the Advanced Pricing section, select Add Price to open the pricing form.

Choose the price type

Open Price Type and review both available options before selecting one:

  • Sale applies promotional pricing within optional start and end dates.
  • Tier applies pricing to a quantity range.

Select Tier for this example.

Enter the pricing values

Enter the price customers pay in Amount. Compare Amount is optional and provides the higher reference amount used when presenting the offer.

Use Minimum Quantity and Maximum Quantity to define the range covered by the Tier rule. Leaving the maximum empty means the tier has no upper quantity boundary.

Review dates and availability

Start Date and End Date are optional. Leaving both empty means the rule has no time window. The Enabled switch determines whether ModernCommerce can apply the rule; keep it enabled for an active rule.

Save and verify

Select Save Price. Wait for the form to close, then confirm the Advanced Pricing table shows the selected type, amount, quantity range, date window and Active status. This persisted row confirms that the rule was saved.
